From October, the official training rides will be fortnightly, hopefully increasing to weekly if there is enough support. Instead of a set destination, each ride will have an approximate distance and type of ride e.g. 40 mile hilly / 60 mile flat etc. We will have a 'cafe meet' type ride every couple of months so those that don't ride so much can come along but for the most part it will be proper training, no excuses!
We will start at 9.30am at the Gateway in Didsbury unless anyone can suggest a better meeting point. (We could make it earlier or meet city centre - vote on the forum). Click here for the latest updates.
The next Club track night will be held at the National Cycling Centre on Saturday the 24th of January 2009 from 7pm until 10pm.
Please see the November Journal for details.

The title UCI Golden Bike is a quality label that the International Cycling Union (UCI) grants to the best cycling for all events. Currently, 9 events in 9 countries – 8 in Europe, 1 in Africa and 1 in Oceania – have been chosen to give you the opportunity to discover the best races in the world.
The UCI Golden Bike series was created in 1999 to encourage cyclists to live their passion outside of their country and enable them to discover new horizons, in terms of both sport and culture.
Why choose UCI Golden Bike series events? The Golden Bike series offers the guarantee of taking part in quality events. All events have been selected by the UCI in order to give you an excellent level of organisation, as well as races that are attractive in sporting and tourist terms. Organisers must respect strict terms and conditions, especially as regards the welcome of foreign participants.
